ABOUT MIA QUINN MADDOX
After attending Clark Atlanta University, in Atlanta Georgia Mia transferred to Fashion Institute where she obtained her degree in merchandising and management, securing a strong foundation in her fashion education. Her journey from intern to assistant formed the makings of an eclectic prophet paving the way to work with stylists such as Wendell Haskins and Tiffany Hasbourne. Mia loves linking new age pieces with the sophistication and elegance fashion deserves, with the playful and amorous aspects that make fashion what we crave.
With her attention to detail and integration of tone, shapes, patterns, color and movement Mia excelled to the top of her profession working for the biggest artists in hip-hop, including 50 Cent, Mobb Deep, Soulja Boy and Lloyd Banks to name a few; whilst simultaneously working with artists and athletes and birthing her company Quinn of Everything and Quinn’s closet.
With numerous No.1 videos, album and major magazine covers and fashion editorials she expanded into the film industry first as a costume designer then as a Key Costumer working on films such as Setup and Freelancers, designing costumes for Robert De Niro and Forest Whitaker. Mia also worked on television series such as Seven Seconds, High Fidelity and For Life and transcended Hollywood with the same humble and dedicated attitude she brought to the music industry.
Mia was the Summer Instructor at Fashion Institute of Technology in 2019 teaching the Intro to Fashion Styling course, and also taught her own styling course over the years to aspiring stylists.
A strong willed and ever striving woman, Mia emulates, “Life is a lesson to learn.” Her new company, Ask Mia Quinn, is a virtual styling experience for everyday people who desire fashion direction and help, that shares the characteristics of its founder. Mia’s deliberate action to inspire, invent and weave together not only her story, but the person she is dressing, is what catapults her into a new range of creativity.
An imagination with two secure feet on the ground is what oils the perpetual idea machine she is and guarantees Mia’s artistry withstand the test of time.
